The patio at Fragrant Isle Lavender Farm & Shop was the beautiful setting for Door County Chef Terri Milligan’s lavender cooking demonstrations last Friday. Overlooking the blooming lavender fields, participants were treated to an informative and tasty presentation which began with a light salad of fresh greens and herbes de provence balsamic vinaigrette dressing with fresh apples and candied walnuts. The salad presentation included a beautiful edible Nasturtium from Chef Milligan’s own garden.
Using Fragrant Isle’s culinary lavender, Chef Milligan created a refreshing lavender infused lemonade and topped off the presentation with lavender lemon cupcakes filled with Fragrant Isle’s lavender blueberry jam and topped with lavender scented buttercream frosting.
